Does it feel like MeoVV is to BM as ILLIT was to NJ?

nah to me it always felt like bm was to bp like illit was to njs but 7 years appart and with one of the og producer.

meov?? meoov is a bit like bm in that regard, but i guess not so heavily inspired? Idk. It feels like both of them are trying to reproduce bp success and formula.

They just have one song... Kpop fans brain will always amaze me

so far doesnt seem like Meovv is meant to follow up to BP. Otherwise Teddy would have produced the debut song for them with a similar formula and sound.

The only thing similar is the asthetic of the MV BUT the quality is way worse than YG. I guess budget is still a constraint for TBL.

In contrast, Baemon's MVs scream budget and have high replay value

Well NJ has successful sister label group Illit while BP never had successful juniors so far compared to BTS multiple hit juniors.

I feel it's rather Babymonster if they get bigger in the future.

It's really weird seeing Teddy not putting much efforts into their effort. Which makes me think whether this was rushed debut? Maybe mnet wanted to debut izna asap but Teddy wanted to introduce his gg first.

I found Illit and NJs music to be a bit more distinguishable. I don't vibe w any of illit songs but NJs are great

The last revealed member is one of the talented members, she has better vocals/vocal tone and stage presence than Ella. I can now see why TBL gave her the most parts along with the tall member. Ella's vocals are very weak. She needs more practice, prob why she hasn't gotten viral with her performances. Even Leeseo got similar short parts like Ella during debut but she went viral...

No matter how excellent non visual members' skill are, they still won't get viral (with very few exceptions). It's just the norm with rookie kpop gg. Ella was viral from her teaser, top 10 enter talk was talking about her. But she's kind hidden in mv and live stages, yet people still taking about her being shy too.

Gawon is okay, she reminds me of seolhyun.

I predicted MEOVV to challenge 5th gen but looking at their stage performances, BM is safe lol. YGE should be happy BM got all the SEA supporters. The difference in views for their contents and videos is huge. Maybe TBL should have added a SEA member… Kinda surprised they didn’t…
