I don't agree. Baemon already has a pretty good fanbase in Asia and this won't change when they have Chiquita and Pharita in the team. In SK they flopped without Meovv and if they release a good song with good promotion it's not like others won't listen to them just bc Meovv debuted. Sheesh era was full of their clips going viral in SK, they have the talent and visuals to keep going.

I do think the possibility of Meovv chart better in SK is pretty high, but both will be hated a lot by others ggs stans as we already saw in this forum in Meovv teasers threads.

In the end both can become big with their own followers.

Meovv hasn't even debuted, and they're not from the same company that built Blackpink. How can they be succeeding anyone? At best, they can be spiritual successors, but any group from any company can claim that really (or any fandom can claim that their favorites are that).

Well, I consider both BP successors bc while Baemon is from YGE, it's Teddy who produced 80% of BP hits and he will also be Meovv main producer so one is successor bc of the company, but the other one from the music. And Ella is a blink and has being part of BP and blinks lives since years ago, obviously blinks will also show support to her and her group.

Hard to tell without acctually have heard the first song and seen them in action, but I think MEOVV can have a hard time. Feels like we maybe don't need a 2NE1 version 4 right now, with both ver 2 not really dead yet and Babymonster just starting to take off. They have not maybe made a super success but feels like thay have established themself pretty good and have potential. Well, BM maybe are not that similar to 2NE1, but still.

Nah I don't think it's any issue for baemon. A user above already said it well, but to me the whole "Meovv is BPs lil sister" narrative is only something being pushed by fans. At the end of the day, BM is officially BPs little sister group, whether you feel they are or not. And that is largely part of the reason they already have a massive following and did before they even debuted. I just don't think it makes sense to even compare to the groups yet.

Long story short, I think Meovv has huge potential but I don't expect them to get the same boost BM has, especially internationally, for being associated with BP. So they are not a threat to BM, yet.

Girl, you failed some logic lessons.

YGE and tbl have connections still and Teddy worked with BP. Jisoo showing support for Ella from Meovv pretty much gives blinks the idea of them also being BP successors like baemon is. It's not something so bad tbh, it's just kpop.

I think they'll have a more luxury image like BP hence the successors talk when baemon is more like a Treasure female version, but yeah, in the end the issue isn't an issue and some blinks will support both or like one more than the other, the same same that happens in kpop.

This. I know people are excited about them, but they are the first ever group from tbl, I don't expect huge numbers from them specially since we know nothing about their concepts and music. But let's see. In the end both can get big.

BM is doing fine. They got a lot of fans already. They're going to continue gaining more fans judging from their performances and stage presence.

Tho I do think YHS will be dreading if MEOVV succeeded further than BM. Will we be getting a September showdown from MEOVV and BM?

BM musical direction is dated, they need to switch it up. I don't have high hopes for Meovv either atm given Teddy has been realising nothing but stinkers since Pink Venom. But we'll see.

YGE needs to go to the source for production. Nobody is bringing anything inspired in house.

If yes, I believe BM will be okay. The influencers might do better in SK though.
