Stray Kids just needs one #1 hit Song to cement themselves as the next Goats in the game!!!

  • I always feel like the path they chose to take with their musical direction is a double-egded sword.

They wouldn't be as popular as they are now If It wasn't for their musical style, cause with it and It's viralty they built a strong core audience that loves exactly what Stray Kids offers.

On the other hand, It's a niched musical style. They hardly will get the general public on their side like that, but I think there are times they balance out both nicely like with 'Back Door', 'Maniac' and 'Chk Chk Boom'.

Totally agree. They created a sound that their core audience like, but it’s not for the gp. I think a song like “ Lose my Breathe “ was to test waters, but than again it was to much Charlie Puth.

But ChkChk seems to be going viral a bit. They need a #1 hit Song asap!!!

There are some disadvantages in having such a strong identity as a group. I remember when they dropped 'Lose My Breath', they suffered criticism from K-pop Community about how It didn't sound like Stray Kids, from both part of their stabilized audience and casual listeners.

Chk Chk Boom was a great choice as a title track. It's very catchy and mix well two mainstream genres (reggaeton and hip-hop) while still keeps the Stray Kids' flavor. No wonder It's been so well-received by their fandom and people who don't listen to them that much.

Yes maniac is a total bop! The rest is too much lol

  • Stray kids are huge but they are huge for their visuals and appealing to 15 year old girls. Their music is overall trash and they are sell outs without quality or skill

Their vocalist sound like boys in puberty take away fangirls and they have 5 fans and don't sell nothing.

You aren't a mega group untill you appeal to the GP. And only a few groups were able to do that. Tvxq in their prime big bang exo and super junior in their prime bts that's about it.

lol Do you even know what are you talking about!

If music isn’t up to your taste just skip without calling it trash

I’m not stay, I’m just a casual listener of them, but they have skills!

    Stage Presence - on point

    Dancing - on point

    Live Singing - Good enough

And they have the most male fans among 4th gen boy groups, because of their sound!!!

Their sound is much more appealing to Boys than Girls in the first place

But they don’t appeal to GP and they don’t need that, since they have 3 rd biggest fanbase in K-pop!

  • I think they are one of the most talented and also nicest groups around.

    Changbin is my favorite :-)

I know what people here are saying about their music and I agree that it makes it harder to get the GP. That style is not really my thing, but they've also done songs in different styles that I do love.

"Miroh" is one of my favorite Kpop songs ever.

When Bang Chan still had his Sunday live, you could just tell how much passion he has for music, but also for doing nice things for others. I used to watch that regularly. Also, does Bang Chan sleep? Like ever?

Their visual line is top tier as well.

They're clearly also very socially engaged and I am looking forward to seeing what they're doing next.

Edited once, last by Fansamy ().

  • Don't bother. He's completely delusional from his bitterness lol. There's 0 logic, he just says anything to try to trigger you. People know SKZ's skills and that most of their fans aren't teenagers etc.

Let him believe his faves like Super Junior is a "mega group cool for men" or something, whilst the group charting around the world (digitally and physically) and going on a stadium tour is not :skull:

  • Chk Chk Boom is looking to be their biggest hit so far and they've hit the perfect spot where both their fanbase like it, as well as non-fans as it's easily digestible (unlike songs like S-Class). Miroh and Maniac are big examples where they did this before and these songs helped then grow.

It''ll be interesting to see how Chk Chk Boom continues to chart, it's doing well. I'm also curious for their future singles, Chk Chk Boom must have already made more people tune in for them in the future.
