Why did the narrative of NJ Minji as an it girl stopped the moment HYBE went to war with MHJ?

    I'm not saying she's not or can be an it girl, but I remember seeing some threads talking about Minji's trendy status as a potential it girl. Then it suddenly stopped. And personally I think Hyein or Hyerin have more it girl potentials

    It already stopped in Jan when her cold noodles controversy peaked.


    Prior to that she was #1 or #2 in the brand reputation rankings every month in 2023, then her cold noodles controversy triggered many negative social media posts causing her rankings drop a lot. After this she has not been in the top 10.

And some of that crowd included Armys, if not, at least they had some support towards her.     I would not say it's only about any special attribute. It's more about the fame and status they have achieve among the public outside of kpop in combination with attributes like good looks. Just because a member of a kpop groups have great looks and are a the most popular member of a popular kpop group does not make them a "IT girl".
