Gidle’s Fate is due to overtake IU for second on the Melon yearly song chart in a little over a month. And if they maintain the current gap with TWS’s song they should overtake them in around 3 months.

However, if Gidle don’t get their deserved place at number one on the Melon yearly chart and have the best chance they’ve ever had to win a Daesang stolen from them, I’m going to have more than a few choice words to say about Hybe.

The whole performance of that song screams inorganic.

A song can be popular without gp knowing the artists. Ppl just enjoy listening to the song without the whole stanning constraints. If you go to their youtube videos 90% of the comments are in korean and from various ages and muggles. Finding English comment is like hide and seek

Also, their yt audio views says a lot

in korea, they literally everywhere. Even some big shows blatantly asking them to come to their shows (aka THE Park Myungsoo, he even cosplayed as Shinyu). There are a lot of instances where artists say they dont really follow idols but they like TWS (too lazy to search the video)

But Pledis just being Pledis. After TWS’ debut, TWS only has 2, TWO, korean activities which is SSG Landers (first pitch) & Akaraka. The rest are in Japan

And tbh? I agree. TWS is the LEAST promoted rookie even compared to other nugu/mid sized rookie agencies. TWS also hasn’t come to a ANY radio shows

but i watched many korean var/real shows that used Plot Twist as BGM in their shows. I think the song is viral in sokor but not many people know them.

Finally someone with an actual knowledge. Plot Twist has been played on a lof of shows esp Running Man (a couple of times) and STILL being played. Even as Sai (their fandom name) a lot of us acknowledge currently Plot Twist is bigger than TWS

But having a hit song as a rookie bg will definitely help them to have a good start. Which is good. The question is how Pledis gonna execute and milk Plot Twist’s success for the upcoming cb on 24th June
