do you like it? has your expectations been fullfilled?

  • im listening to the second part from bahama first (keeping the juciest part for last ¬‿¬), and the songs are so good  . i specially love live my life and prologue the best.

(live my life might actually be my fave from the record, still have to yet listen to the first part of the album fully)

yet minus live my life which i think is a nice twist to the aespa core and sound, why do they sound like something red velvet would have released?

bahamas, long chat, prologue, melody. I could hear RV sing these songs. kinda diminishes the aespa experience, specially on their first album release X/ .

Overall the second part of the album is very classic sm sound. Like melody has a sorta snsd sound to it as well. Classic kpop :finger-heart: .

  • both title tracks are chosen well + If I could one choose one from the rest I think prologue is

yeah title tracks are best songs

    prologue seems quite popular

it certainly is a mix of genres there...

i think you're right actually, long chat especially sounds very red velvetish, i hear it now. its one of my fave songs on album too

also to me armageddon reminds of something nct 127 could release and set the tone got me thinking about exo wolf instantly (auuuu)

  • It's a 9.5/10

I love pretty much all the songs, and i can see myself replay them besides licorice

My favorite are probably Live my life, prologue, set the tone

And if SM doesn't find a way to promote BAHAMA in the summer it would be such a big miss opportunity

Because bahama really sounded like something i could see Oh my girl drop in the summer and get an instant hit

SM really need to find a way to make them do a special performance of bahama or find a way to make it go viral

  • I currently like 6/10 of songs in the album.

supernova, bahama, long chat, prologue, melody, and live my live are instant like for me.

I am starting to like the rest of the album. somehow armageddon chorus keeps repeating in my head ^^ .

that chorus is hypnotic you cant run away

yeah bahama is pure summer bliss

i hope sm read this and take note

the only complain i have for this album is why the heck most of song are barely pass 3 mins.. 10 tracks is not enough ;(;(

anyway... this blow my expectaction out of the water... i dont remember feeling this much attracted to all the songs when i listened to the highlight medley. Listening to full version changed so much of my initial feelings

i actually liked most of the songs from highlight medley but i was still shocked how good the album was, i didnt expect to like some of the songs this much

  • Overall a good album with great highlights. Definitely right choice of singles I will say.

Set The Tone I thought I'd like more, it's alright but missing something. Mine I really do like, but I still wish it had a bit more of a punch to it, might grow on me though since I do like it a lot anyways.

Prologue is great! I rarely like this type of songs so much, but the tempo and melodies here work perfectly. Big replay value. Live My Life I also like more than expected. The chorus has a special youthful feeling to it that hits. BAHAMA as well I'm surprised I like so much, well done chorus with amazing feeling. I can't stand the "I love this place!" part though, it brings the song down a bit for me lol.

Licorice is quirky, fun and catchy, I love it as much as expected. Long Chat and Melody are fillers to me.

    1. Supernova

    2. Armageddon

    3. Prologue / Licorice

Parts of some songs reminds me of Red Velvet quite a bit.

  • Supernova, Armageddon and Live my life are the best tracks on the album and clearly. Like it's impossible to rank them, they're so different from each other yet they're all great in their own way.

These 3 songs are really reeally good.

Then i would add Prologue and mine in the top 5.

Bahama is a fine track and Licorice a very cool take on aespa's lore both music and concept wise.

All the other songs are good except Melody and Set the stone that are a bit underwhelming and flat or just kinda out of place.

For example, instead of Melody i would have prefered another ballad like Lucid dream which is more aespa coded.

Otherwise im still a bit decepointed because some of these songs sound like red velevt songs and i would have wanted a more cohesive album. And idealy with ALL the songs on Supernova / Armaggedon level which are i think clearly the superior tracks.

  • not impressed as of now. missing any wow factor or cohesion from any of these b-sides. seems like aespa is best with concise mini where they can do a cute intro, title, song that stans will say should've been the title, 1-2 fun little filler tracks, and sure throw in a ballad/slow R&B song to end the EP cause fans seem to go gaga over those

    🍒 Chee~eer~ish 🍒

  • Like Armageddon but still prefer Supernova. Was going through the same thing as Supernova. Watched the MV and was being overwhelmed, but come back repeat a few times, later the chorus kinda stuck in my head.

Like all the bside except Licorice. Mine and Live my life is the best especially Mine with the bridge. what a diverse album. Their best album overall.

  • "Prologue" and "Live My Life" are my favorites, too. I like "Supernatural" as well, but those two might do it for me in terms of longevity. I'm a sucker for songs like those.

I definitely agree with you about being able to hear RV singing some of the songs! I don't think it "diminishes the aespa experience," as I've known and expected aespa to have B-sides that sound very Red Velvet. I actually like that. For instance, "Thirsty," "Lucid Dream," and "YEPPI YEPPI" from aespa's previous releases sound like they could be RV songs.

"Prologue" is so good and also very RV-sounding. I like this performance:
