I know everyone likes charts but stuff Spotify.
Youtube music/premium is better IMO.
I so agree with this. Haven't used spotify in more than an year now.
YT Premium is just better for the money.

I cannot tell you anything about that, people who get how Spotify works might help you. I did get it in my recommendations just like many other kpop artists. You can see in my first post that I got midas touch, it kind of doesn't fit the rest of the songs. I never played the song myself. But I'm not bothered, if i didn't get it i wouldn't have heard it. It's a bop.
But the thread isn't about that. It's about songs from different genre being promoted in certain genre. Since I've had spotify which is years, i only had kpop songs played in autoplay, this is new. Spotify becoming new YouTube with inflating streams. I assume that unlike YouTube that don't count non-organic views, Spotify counts them. Perhaps I'm wrong, again, i don't follow charts and numbers.

It's more expensive though. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I find the sound quality much better on Spotify than on YouTube Music.
In the same way, Hip Hop songs sound better on AM but usually pop songs sound better on Spotify.
To answer another poster, Spotify does count non organic streams. It’s what they call unfiltered streams but artists are paid on filtered streams.
Yeah I got espresso too but not Billie.
As for kpop songs I got Magnetic and before that NJs songs quite often BUT I know the algorithm tends to pick songs related to what you listen and as a moarmy who listened to LSRF and NJs a little (although less now), I think they do tend to pick Hybe songs (I also get Enhypen BND SVT) but aside from that, they still might have get a push.
I think the most random kpop song I had was Pandora by MAVE, i'd never listen to it once and it was on autoplay every time.
It's more expensive though. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I had to google it, $3 per month difference in Aus.
IMO so much more worth it for the ability to skip Youtube ads. But I guess it depends what people use more.
I left Spotify because of these things they do etc. Apple Music for me ~~

Only smart people know this

I used to be with Apple Music along time ago.
They don't have recommendation section like Spotify's Release Radar and Discover Weekly.

I don’t mind that, I can search other places for recommendations.

Wtf
Can you leave me alone, I'm not interested in them
Soon Spotify achievements will be useless as YouTube
espresso finds its way to me in all music streaming apps i use (yt music and spotify). and i always skip it so the algorithm is not working my way. i guess it could be feeding off from the fact that it's a popular track right now but idk idk

spotify is better with playlists though. i love yt premium but use spotify to get specific playlists
It actually makes more sense that having Billie Eilish while listening to kpop. And if you’re on this forum, that means you listen to kpop anyway so it makes sense you got the biggest kpop song.
Well if it happened once it would've made sense, but it happened on over 10 songs of diff genres. It's nawt just because I listen to kpop
I don't know how promoted content works on YouTube music but like I've already said, until now i had never gotten western artists suggested when i listened to kpop. There's been gazillion popular songs on Spotify and they never ended up in my autoplay. Their labels are paying for this. They really want high charting and are inflating streams to get there.
