[Hot] Chinese fans of #AESPA are considering to boycott their upcoming album for two reasons:

    1. Fans demand that @SMTOWNGLOBAL
should change the date of the concert in Fukuoka Arena, Japan, which is to be held on July 7th as it is a black day for the Chinese public due to the Sino-Japanese war. It is very disrespectful to the Chinese fans who are contributors of millions of album sales, and it especially a hard situation for member #NINGNING
to perform on a date like this.

    2. Fans also demand the company to change the venues for the
shows in Hong Kong and Macau as the capacity of the venue is mearly 5000 and 2800 respectively, which is not corresponding to the group's high popularity in China.

  • it's kpop girl group

and the performance is in Japan

why would Chinese meddle in this matter?

same with Hong Kong and Macau small venues

maybe stay in mainland instead of flying there or taking a ferry just to watch kpop concert?!

  • The 1st demand seems reasonable. I do hope SM changes the date of the concert.

As for the 2nd demand, it is whatever imo. Boycotting the album is a counterintuitive approach for it.

What's wrong with the 2nd demand? Their cfans buy like a million albums each comeback...the fact that SM booked hall 10 at asiaworld expo instead of the arena is an interesting decision to say the least.

  • change concert dates its very complicated tho

those are schedule with months of anticipation

they could canceled it, but I dont think they can move it

but that wouldp probably made jfans mad (which wont help in their japan album)

  • people need to stop involving politics in kpop. it seems everyone has a specific set of rules that they want groups to follow. it's good that sm is having a concert on this day. if they give into one request then they have to give into them all

  • Mr.Bang after he read this news

Well, If the boycott does happen, I guess this issue fixes itself.

  • They might change the date if the fans kick up enough of a stink tbh. Though if they really want to guarantee they get the date and venue changed, they'd need to take a page out of Shawols' book as they dealt with a bad venue before and got it fixed. I do have to wonder why booking improper venues seems to be a consistent issue with SM.

If they consider it a black day, then they should've tried to win the war instead.

  • The conflict which would become known as the Second Sino-Japanese War started on July 7, 1937, with a skirmish at Marco Polo Bridge which escalated rapidly into a full-scale war in northern China between the armies of China and Japan.
