could haerin and hyein leave HYBE ?

  • The other members are 19yo so they are adult so they take their own decisions

haerin and hyein are still minor so their legal representant are still their parents

considering that the relations between hybe and nj parents seems tense

i saw nobody mention this eventuality, every people think they will leave together or stay together

but in the actual context do you think that it's possible that even if danielle, minji and hanni decide to renew with hybe because of the money they can make

Hyein and Haerin parents decide to pull them out of the group so they don't stay in hybe, and since they are minor and their representant legal are the one taking the important decision for them, they could quit the group

  • Not realistic, the girls are moving together. Also the position of the parents is probably the same as the girls, it would be weird they decide something different in the case they have the chance.

Anyway looking at the contracts I doubt the girls or the parents will decide anything for now.

  • I assume so. It was estimated that the total penalties would be around 153m, and more, with each member around 30.6m+. They will need big investors to get out of the contracts. It probably will take a long time to get everything sorted, too.

    :/

  • The members sign a 7 year contract, which is the standard in kpop, so they are bound by that contract. They can however buyout the contract.

imo based on the buyout penalty, MJH wouldn't be interested in taking on this debt.

Last year NJ's profit was 30million, although I imagine this would increase. Thats not going make much of a dent into 5 x 50 = 250 million. So it would take 5+ years to pay off the debt.

So unless she can get them for a lot cheaper, she isn't really going to want to take them.

MHJ can take care of that. She is a multi millionaire after all.

She loves the girls so much. I'm sure she's willing to spend millions on them. ☺️

  • Maybe this was why there a sudden attack on BTS.

To further drive down Hybe's stock price so she could 'free' the girls.

  • as people above have said no one leaves kpop contracts (or any contracts by that matter) freely-nilly

if they could we wouldn't get situations like omega x or 5050 etc etc

and people seem to be thinking contract termination fees are "cheap" - they are certainly not...

a prudent (hardass???) company would write it in their contracts to make it even harder

for example non-big4 companies would add trainee debt to a termination fee.

the big4 companies would likely calc the termination fee to be the present value of the contract
