She's been firing on both cylinders far more in recent years then her older years.

Her recent stuff has found far more success and reception amongst Korean listeners then her older stuff. Like b-sides and pre-releases having far better reception, korean reviews and listeners then most of their old stuff (partly attributable to production, point further below).

As someone pointed out, Collapsed on already produces for Itzy. He's a great producer who has done many good songs, but he may not be the answer if he's already been tried.

Big Sancho absolutely sucks and is washed. There's a very good reason why Soyeon moved away from working with him. She was hard carrying some of the ideas and needed a better production team to work with. Once she got Poptime the production quality, the depth of the production choices and in general the more varied instrumental production increased massively. The difference between oh my god and Dumdi Dumdi is night and day production wise, whatever you think or enjoy about the songs.

Once Soyeon moved to Poptime her songs immediately started far better reception and critical reviews because the ideas were fully supported by a better producer. It's absolutely no coincidence that I-dle popped off a few years into their career then immediately (comparatively speaking).

People naming Big Sancho in 2024 have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.

You are so right that no matter which group you gave the Cake song to, the song wouldn't save it. I looked at AI covers and the song was still below average. It's a very bad song even if you give it to the best vocalist group. I hope Soyeon give them a good song. Even she must be annoyed that Jyp gave bad songs and wastes the girls.

soyeon is a hit maker and itzy has been given shit songs since dalla so why not
