This. Something feels a little off in the vocals, like maybe the mixing levels? Jayoung usually sounds a lot more powerful and loud but she seems almost subdued in this and is almost swallowed by the music. Be interesting to hear other takes on it, see if Jayoung can belt it out properly.

But the instrumentals are great and it's a lot heavier sounding than their other newer stuff. The instrumental part mid song is especially good.

Rolling Quartz's fanbase is largely international from what I understand, so Korean tastes probably aren't their main concern.

Isn't this the same group a lot of people talked about in 2020 ish on Tik Tok? I was only on that app for a short time but boy did people recommend them a lot which was cool.

The song itself wasn't for me, but I do think they're pretty cool and have a unique cool image.

It does sound better on Spotify, so I do think the mixing on the Youtube version isn't right

Was that the case? I've not used TikTok myself, but that seems surprising.

I will note that Rolling Quartz only officially debuted in December 2020, though they did initially form in August 2019.
