So this was my first impression of BABY MONSTER "Batter upp"

The MV is better i expected i'm glad there's more set than i thought there would be

as expeccted the real MV lack of a concept and story, even watching the MV i still can't understand why the song is call "batter up " because nothing is a reference to baseball here

the rap and the vocal part were actually really good

but to be honest the chorus of this song leave actually no impact at all, i just fnished listening to the song and i don't remember at all how the chorus sounds like

which makes it hard to make you want to comeback to the song to replay it

if i'm being honest and for a debut that a lot of expected for years, this debut feels very disappoiting

i ended the MV and i still can't tell what makes of Baby Monster a girlgroup different than most YG groups because their MV literally used the same code that most of YG MV have

And now i still think that this girlgroup itself is still bringing nothing new which i find disappointing

and i still think that they are a very generic YG type of group

But DAMN i was wrong about "batter up"

The song is a massive bop, i keep replaying it and coming back to it

I'm still singing the chorus even when i'm not listening to the song

this song is the song i put at full volume the morning in the car to wake up and be motivated for the rest of my journey

and i swear i can't understand all the bad comment people still make about this song

i thought the song would have sounded better for people and for them to actually change their opinion about the song

but no, and i'm sad for some of you who can't feel the energy brings

I hope YG actually gives them some cool concept and try to give them their own identity for their future comeback

i don't think stanning the group simply because they don't interest me enough concept wise, image wise or the members itself

but i'm definitely keeping an eye on them and hype for their next comeback

I knew deep down in me that i could be confident in YG to give me another BOP for their GG

YG never disappointed me with their GG release, every 2NE1 and Blackpink release have always been a hit for me

i knew something was off when i didn't like much BABY MONSTER debut song

i was just not in the right groove to listen to it the first time
