They truly are the one on top, and I just received word from our Mnet correspondent, Rarami, that they will not be attending the MAMAs.
RIP daesangs for that show. Whatever. They don't need it to validate their historic year

It's supposed to be all encompassing, as they include global streams and sales in their metrics, but Mnet is maximum petty, and apparently so is Min Heejin, so there is no chance in hell they'll give the daesang to NewJeans.
I wanted them to break the streak of a boy group winning every year since SNSD in 2011, but it won't happen now, even though mathematically they should be a shoe-in.
Also I think BTS already did this, if I'm not mistaken
