Is Aespa a one hit wonder?

I think op is confused about the meaning of one hit wonder.

Aespa has arguably the largest dedicated fanbase of any kpop girl group after blackpink. Their album sales keep increasing year on year and their music is well received by their fans.

I personally love their music and each subsequent release ends up outdoing the prior in terms of my Spotify streaming stats. So no there hasn’t been a decline for people who actually like their stuff. Girls and spicy are both great title tracks. Better things is one of the least boring English songs to come out of a kpop group recently.

They are doing fine.

The lesson from BP, Twice and fifty fifty is that South Korea doesn't matter. All three do/did fantastic globally, when they did not have hits in South Korea.

In fact global tastes and preferences are different to Korean preferences. For example South Korea likes cute teen concepts and thin idols. Globally many cringe at cute and curves are preferred.

regardless of how aespa is doing on the charts since NL (I really don't know since I don't follow the charts) but for a song to be a one hit wonder generally requires an artists career to be "basically" completed or over before one can judge right?

Aespa's what in their third? fourth year? and thus it's too early to judge the one-hitedness of their career no?

They've had way too many number 2 ranking songs to be a 1 hit wonder....

A 1 hit wonder generally refers to an Artists that gets a huge hit, normally in the Top 5 then never get a song into the Top 40.

That generally happens with songs that go Viral but no-one actually cares about the Artist :P

The only bad management from SME is that they used aespa to promote ahjummas and ahjussis instead of giving them Comebacks.

Spicy had higher peak, both chart positions and ULs count. Spicy also did much better on youtube + spotify stream numbers. Not even worth questioning
