Anyway I think at first to new MOAs and non-fans, Yeonjun gives out more of a leader vibe. Most people are used to the type of leader that gives off a charismatic, assertive vibe.
But Soobin is the type of leader to give emotional support, motivation and inspiration. He's just alot more shy and introverted compared to the other members, but is kind and has a likable-personality. The members have said multiple times how they appreciate Soobin being their leader
The leader position isn't given due to talent, it's given to the member who supports the group best and keeps the members on track(Not to say Soobin isn't talented, because he is).

Sadly he's being demoted and now my 3rd favourite txt member.
Hueningkai is now first then Boemgyu.
Oh well he's like Suho.

One thing I notice is that BTS, TXT and Enhypen all have leaders that aren't the oldest in their group so I think that had something to do with it. Yeonjun is oldest and it gives him double authority if he's also leader. In Enhypen a member named Heesung was the most obvious choice for leader but he didn't want to be the leader. "He would like the remain a member rather than the leader since the other members might have a hard time talking to the leader if the leader was also the oldest in the group". I think this choice is good as it spreads the authority around humbles the older members.

didn't the members choose their leader ?
-
Its a bighit thing to not make the oldest the leader of the group. Either way, Soobin is a great leader, as all members are comfortable around him and he leads the group well.

Because Bang PD and all members voted for him as leader. As simple as that. In psychological test before debut, he also the one who fits perfectly as the leader of 4 extrovert-chaotic members.
For 2 years I've become a moa, members always praise his leadership skill, comfortablrle around him, and he really does his responsibility properly. Nothing to be complain about him.

And let me promote Soobin waist-breaking dance with Jesse and Arin :suggestiver:

Is it just me or Yeonjun has more leader vibe than Soobin?
And I think when it comes to singing, rapping and dancing Yeonjun is better.
But am not trying to trash Soobin as he's talented too.
And that's when I realized that this thread was never about Soobin being the leader.

It's because Yeonjun doesn't have dimples

It will be too much if Yeonjun’s the leader, he’s hyped as the legendary trainee, the triple threat, the most charismatic. Imagine if he’s the leader, might as well call them Yeonjun and friends. He will have too much power in his hand.
-
I understand that this is you trolling but nevertheless, it's so that the leader can have someone else to lean on when the burden is too much to bear.
This actually makes a lot of sense.

Maybe because being a leader is not about how good you are at singing, rapping or dancing? I mean, look at RM's singing skills.
