as someone who’s been into kpop for quite awhile and seen quite a lot of shit, my prediction is baddie will not ultimately do better than either way, not in korea at least. Tbh Baddie was released too close to Off The Record and Either way. Just imho

Either way felt like it came from their hearts, (it feels especially heavy after seeing the Behinds) and I felt it needed the proper moment of silence and respect for it to really sink in.

Honestly though superyeah I think Off The Record doesn't necessarily detract from Either Way. Although they're similar and released close together, one often is recommended after the other in my experience and in my mind has become sister songs. Either Way is just the more serious and emotionally heavy one of the two. Still, I feel suddenly Baddie dropping feels a little too insincere esp. after Either Way.

(if I were to be really greedy, Either way is at a quality that makes it deserve a full album of tracks to support the whole concept)

Of course. If I don't like a song I will root against it, even if it's from my favorite groups

Happened plenty of times with (G)I-dle (even recently with their english EP...) and especially Dreamcatcher (their whole 2022 was really not my favorite)

Never, I'm an easy listener and there's always something in it for me.

The closest I've been for TXT is for Sugar Rush Ride because I happen to not be a fan of empty choruses/drops but it grew on me and in the light of the concept, it worked
