Which one is more popular, Eunchae or Hanni?

eunchae seems more popular domestically while hanni is more known internationally

Hanni, because she is in the #1 girl group, would have more people saying she is their #1 favourite idol.

Eunchae, because of her role in Music Bank, would have more people saying she is in their top 10 favourite idols.

Hanni for both in korea and internationally. She is surprisingly more popular than Eunchae too in Korea. Other than that brand reputation things, her youtube search are higher in Korea while not really have any individual contents there.

Hanni already had a following prior to their debut due to her appearance on BTS' Permission to Dance MV and lots of fans assumed she was a Korean trainee named Cherry. I think this speaks to the fact that she could already be very trendy among Korean fans. Although there were some backhanded compliments from knetz towards Hanni at debut (that she was "pretty" because she was "Korean-looking"), many just found her visuals appealing because (1) she resembles many other Kpop visuals like Sulli, Jennie, Goo Hara, etc. and (2) she is able to pull off a lot of different styles including the kitsch style in Attention MV (I'm only quoting knetz). Then of course Hanni is crazy talented and stands out a lot as both a dancer and vocalist, which adds to her reputation as a sort of "ace" in NewJeans. Her charisma on stage gets her fancams to blow up and her international background (being Viet and fluent in English) probably makes her one of the more well-recognized members to international fans.

i dont follow newjeans whatsoever yet she comes up on various feeds so often

eunchae.........she seems to just exist

probably least popular in her own group

I think Eunchae is known as the representative maknae of this gen, which is a title she will probably always have, and her popularity has grown since she became a host, but I don't see people talking about her much, whether good or bad.

I'd say Eunchae is still one of the most popular people currently, and personally I like her more than Hanni, but Hanni definitely has more buzz and I'd say she is top 3 within New Jeans in terms of popularity.

I think Hanni just because NEWJEANS is more popular then Lesserafim… but I think Eunchae is more popular in the multi-stan Kpop community

basically this, manchae is very well known amongst casual kpop fans/multifans. Hanni has more hardcore fans because of nwjns insane popularity. but manchae is manchae

I think Eunchae because she has that MB MC gig which gave her many chances to interact with most of current idols so other fandoms might know her better.
