People say SMNBG will be hyped, but why is RIIZE kinda flopping compared to Babymonster?

    Riize’s pre release debut song: 4.6 Million Views. Babymonster pre-debut dance practice: 31 Million views. The only hype for the group I see is when a member takes off his shirt. People was sure that SM New boy group after a long time, separate from NCT would be massively hyped, but it’s not. What went wrong?

    Maybe because at least on this forum people are waiting for that new SM bigger girl group to debut because everyone knows that NCT has tons of members and sub units and it's already 3 years since aespa debuted.

    The hype for BM is way bigger since they are the next GG of the labels behind the biggest GG in the world

    BM also has a survival show.

    Also, SM is very weak in the streaming era. I don't know why but they are so behind JYP, YG, and HYBE(YouTube, Spotify)

    The only thing they are doing somewhat well is kr chart(Aespa, Dream), but still behind others outside of JYP

    Whoever compare the hype that predebut GG have with BG debut is dumb

    GG are always more hype overall than BG


    But i can tell you that there's definitely some Hype around RIIZE especially in Korea

    where their performance video end up trending #1 on youtube in SK

    and memories is currently at #8 on the youtube trending music chart Korea


    and only BG charting on youtube music chart, with seventeen, NCT, SKZ and Zerobaseone


    for a BG who only released a predebut song, who's not coming from a survival show, that's pretty good for the futur i would say

    This is not true though. Treasure is a big flop, their saving grace is tours in Japan/SEA. Babymonster's predebut song gets more views/likes on Youtube than Treasure, Winner and Ikon comebacks. Yg groups are kinda flopping too, except BP and Babymonster
