I basically noticed YG didn't announce the pre-orders for treasure latest release & I realized it's a pattern lol
For Born Pink they were supposed to provide 3 separate press releases for 1.5-2M-2.5/3M milestones but born pink never hit 2.5M let alone 3M pre-orders as they hoped & hyped it will (it's around 2.2M-2.4M) so they just never updated the pre-orders lol
They didn't provide a single treasure pre-orders milestone meaning there was either zero or negligible growth (based on the first day sales it's definitely a negligible amount so probably 700K or something)
YG is probably going through it right now per my title 💀
Imo the ship has definitely sailed on treasure, they join winner/iKON as YG 4th failed attempt to replicate BB success
Now they still have a shot at maintaining relevancy through BABY MONSTER but the fact that Yang hyun suk is their executive producer probably spills doom imo, that man is just the worse at managing groups
Unless he can shed all his "YG characteristics" & adapt, BM will not be a global group that follows BP steps
The pre-debut lengthy wait already killed off considerable hype + the news that they're debuting with an "intense hip-hop genre track" 💀
Treasure & BM producers are tryna be teddy so bad thinking that's an easy ticket to success when it's BP that has elevated teddy productions since 2019(shut down is A MASTERPIECE tho)
