Warner Music Korea trying to buy out 50/50 along with another company

some think the other group is The Givers, who co owes the group, and had the initial warner connection

'Warner Music Korea was pointed out as behind the agency's claim that there is a force that approaches the group Fifty Fifty and induces them to violate the exclusive contract.

On the 26th, Fifty Fifty's agency Attract (CEO Jeon Hong-joon) said, "It appears that an outsourcing service company and Warner Music Korea are involved behind the recent case of an outside force attempting to extort a member."

At the same time, Attract sent a certificate of content to Warner Music Korea this morning, citing the fact that the outsourcing company approached Warner Music Korea and offered to sell Fifty Fifty.

An official from Attract said, "We have already captured substantial evidence of an apparent attempt to illegally extort Fifty Fifty members."

On the 23rd, Attract claimed that outside forces approached Fifty Fifty, causing a stir in the music industry.

At the time, Attract said, “External forces have been identified that approach our artists and entice them to violate their exclusive contracts with us.” Through this, they are committing an illegal act by inducing their artists to sign a contract with them, ignoring a valid exclusive contract by making a wrong judgment.”

He added, "We cannot contain our anger at the illegal acts of impure external forces trying to rob this tremendous miracle achieved by a small and powerless agency, but we will respond calmly and resolutely and fight to the end without any compromise with these external forces to take legal responsibility. will ask,” he emphasized.'

Meanwhile, Fifty Fifty, who debuted in November of last year, entered the US Billboard's main single chart 'Hot 100' with the title song 'Cupid' of the first single 'The Beginning: Cupid'. .

  • If it is a co-owner selling their own shares, then it isn't extortion.

Would be interesting to see the current ownership breakdown, because if this noisy guy only owns 20% now, then all he is doing is just making noise.

  • Smfh. Why would they choose to do this NOW?

Dumb af. 5050 has not fully established their brand. This was the perfect time for them to build their name brand both in Korea and the US by actively promoting.

They were supposed to be promoting in the US as we speak, but no, they are going through a fucking legal battle instead.

All of their momentum could be lost by the time it takes these 2 companies to get their shit together.

Okay, because I could have sworn Fifty-Fifty was already connected to Warner Music Korea, so this really confused me. Turns out, these guys just love their noise marketing. They must have seen SM do it with CBX and thought it sounded like a good tactic. They really ought to tone it down a bit, though. They already got caught lying before about Fifty-Fifty coming from a broke company.

  • well, there is a reason that Greed is considered as one of biggest sin for human ^^

  • Apparently, Attrackt doesn't see WMK as the "enemy".

  • K-pop companies have the audacity to cry about outside forces as if the group members would choose to leave of they were being treated well 😒

Sad this is happening rn when these girls could have tried to cash in on the popularity of the song and become big names in the industry
