I just want to know if it was a suicide or not. I know moonbins mom said we need to stop speculating but I just want to know if it was a suicide, ie is it our fault for having pushed him so hard. If it was a health problem I don't want to know what specifically, if it was suicide i don't want to know the method, i just want to know if it was a suicide or not so i know if I'm complicit in pushing idols to ending it all by being a fan and contributing to their suffering

Does this make any sense or am I being crazy and stupid

if they wanted us to know they would tell us we can speculate all day long but in the end no one knows. You get an idea by all the messages left by those close to him but since they want to keep it private we should respect that and move on.

Ok so then based on wonwoo's letter it was a suicide. “You ran to me first when I crumbled, but hyung is so sorry that I didn’t even know that you were crumbling.” sounds like a suicide to me

not necessarily. and it's no one's fault, even if everyone around him was good to him, a person cannot help it if they have internal demons. depression is a horrible thing and sometimes you just can't overcome it, no matter how loved you are, how many friends you have etc.

it's not good to assume what really happened, just accept that he's no longer with us and no longer suffering.

It makes sense, when someone we cherished is gone suddenly - we want to know what happened. Especially since Moonbin was so young, it makes more sense you want to know. In those cases where you are wondering if you did something wrong as well, we tend to freak out a little bit more as well and want to keep speculating. So, everything you're feeling makes sense.

At the same time though, we will never know everything that was going on in Moonbin's life. KPOP idols reveal so much of themselves on the daily that we can almost forget that they have their own private lives. They choose what they want to reveal of themselves, and in this case Moonbin's family chose not to reveal what exactly happened. We will never have all the details of what happened and our part - so all we can really do is see if we have changes we think we need to make.

All we can do now as fans is take this time to mourn those we've lost and also take a chance to reflect on ourselves in the ways we operate in this cyberspace :)

I never get the "don't spread rumors" agenda in situation when public figure passed away. We always learn the cause of death, should be same here.

No it shouldn't...it's a touchy subject and if the family doesn't want people to know that should be respected, public figure or not.

at the very least can we be told whether or not it was suicide. Obviously they shouldn't tell the exact method (bc copycat suicides) but I might get an ounce of closure if I knew if moonbin had done it on purpose

celebs' families often don't disclose it. it's their choice what do say to the public.

you don't have to kill yourself over hate, there are various reasons. we don't know any of these people, we only know what they choose to show us

What part of the family doesn't want to disclose the exact reason are you having a hard time understanding? The police said no foul play the way the notes from even his sister are CLUES enough you don't need a definitive answer. Let it rest
