I had not even thought of this despite the fact watching movies in theaters in Korea has reportedly been in a slump since last year. I just thought this was the big blow-up.

Just a small redaction, the Roundup part is my speculation. They haven't mentioned that movie, the only movie they mentioned so far is Emergency Declaration (2021).

Maybe ig is just a coincidence but the timing of it, the general box office situation in Korea which is contrasted by Roundup's juggernaut performance, points it all towards that movie. It is an elephant in the room situation.
