burn people at the stake for smoking pot but being drunk is quirky and fun uwu
There's something so off about 20 year old Lee Youngji conducting drunk interviews and drunkness being so normalized in SK

I think it’s a bit strange too

I haven't watched much of those interviews, I think I have only watched the one that features Christopher, which I thought was a fun episode.
Well... ATEEZ were being drunk in some recent WANTEEZ episodes, even though at the start of the videos, there was a warning about how too much alcohol consumption is harmful to the body, and especially harms mind and body of minors.
I think those episodes were kind of inspired by those Lee Youngji interviews.
Or I think they wanted to show ATINY how they were like, when they are drunk.
For me, it has not been fun, when I was at proms, and my classmates were being drunk. (those classmates were minors back then.)
Like back then, it was like that we had fun at first at the prom and then when my classmates got drunk, it got less fun...
Well... you can have fun without too much alcohol.

I feel like some of you are being prudes.
I drunk alot more in my 18-21 years than i did when i was legally able to buy alcohol. Its normal for ppl who are new to alcohol, to tend to over use it, especially in entertainment/celebrity circles.
Usually, as you get older, the novelty wears off and you don't drink as much. Let kids have their fun, like most kids do around their age celebrity or not. -

I felt like there was a huge difference between when I was at prom with drunk 15–16-year-olds and when I was at a Christmas party with drunk adults.

I totally agree on YJ being annoying, but that's just Korean comedy/variety show for you. Everyone is constantly screaming and yelling and going crazy, i almost always end up getting annoyed and clicking on another video. Only if the guest is one of my top faves will i suffer through the assault on my eardrums and sanity. Like would it really hurt if some of these hosts learned how to use dry humor instead of constantly overacting and going off the rails?
Good idol fanservice series like Enozicam or interview/variety shows hosted by idols like Bambam, Yena and Sakura are 100x better than Knowing Bros, Youngji, or even Running Man.

point wasn't missed. I agree overreaction to weed is stupid, since you right Koreans love to over smoke and over drink.
But using alcohol to complain about weed prohibition isn't a good approach. Both substances have pros and cons and people should be able to make those decisions.Your post sounds like "alcohol bad, weed good". When it should be "alcohol good, weed good". That's my point.

Not even just pot, but even idols who got caught smoking cigarettes were dissed a lot, and cigarettes are as legal as alcohol.
Tbh, the show itself didn't bother me, it's just a reflection of society. There's double standards towards alcohol and other drugs, but at the end of the day it doesn't bother me too much, I just don't like being around drunk people.

Alcohol was never used to COLONIZE East Asians, unlike drugs. So it’s so funny Westerners putting their perspective on drugs when they have no idea what drug addictions have done historically against other groups of people, nor do they care what the drug industry is doing right now to communities of minorities they say they care about. Not that alcohol is great for society but it NEVER contributed to mass murder or mass oppression as drugs.
And these are adults doing things they choose to do without harm to anyone else. Again, why to people just want to control the lives of others? Bulk album sales creating massive waste are a greater risk to the planet but kpop fans applaud that. No, they are not moral persons, they just want control and self-enjoyment.
