1st gen's Big Mama, BoA, Jewelry, MILK, Sugar, SES, HOT, and Sechskies all had such big vocals. I love them. 2nd gen's vocal powerhouses def were Kara, Sistar, 2NE1, Miss A and Brown Eyed Girls (I love Wonder Girls and many others but they have limited ranges).
I haven't heard many 1st gen idols, but I'd say 2nd-3rd gen were pretty strong.

It is no secret I'm a huge bg stan, honestly the boy groups were killing it in 2nd gen, so that's mostly why I chose that. When you put them both together there's just so many groups and artists that stand out.

It’s between 1st and 2nd for sure. I don’t remember a lot of 1st gen artists so I can’t judge but the ones I know were great.

? I can agree on BEG and somewhat on Sistar (basically it's just Hyolin), but no way are KARA, 2NE1 and Miss A vocal power houses.
Personal preferences aside of course, if you like their voices or vocal tone then that's up to you, but that's not the same as vocal skills, technique or vocal powerhouse.
When it's about 2nd gen vocal power houses, then it's without a doubt groups like BEG, The Grace, Davichi and SNSD whose vocal lines were supreme, and among the boy groups, groups like Super Junior and DBSK.
There's some 4th gen groups that actually do well when it comes to singing.

I feel like such a failure for forgetting to mention SNSD, Davichi or the Grace 
I stan all 3 and I blanked on them when mentioning vocalists. I always considered The Grace kinda 1.5 gen as they are not quite second
