I think "good" is a slang for successful or useful, so a song that achieves its musical goal or is useful to people. Not relevant to industry achievements because most songs never achieve any important records

It's a very subjective thing honestly, "popular" song on the other hand is a different thing

Songs from bp are the definition of what good songs are

One that's memorable and catchy enough for you to want to play it again and again. One that stands the test of time through the generations. To be fair, there's not many nowadays that can fit into that category for me at least.

There are 2 ways:

1st is the "songs that I like", leaning for more personal preferences

The 2nd is the songs that are curated by people who work on music industry (eg. A music composer, producer, writer, etc)

They can dissect and analyze the song, finding patterns or maybe some interesting details that wouldn't be catched by average people.

It's kinda like a food or cuisine I think?

The difference between kpop and food is, kpop is more of the popularity. There is a bias. So a popular song might not means it's a good song, and vice versa, good song doesn't means it will be popular.

(Hence we always have the "underated songs/groups" discussion here and then)

Anything I can smash out while half drunk at karaoke at 1am is a good song.

Which invalidates most kpop I listen to...

Maybe my definition needs work

The song is good if I put it on my playlist
