Why I'm Kinda Glad BTS didn't win (A Lesson Learned)

Would it have been nice to see BTS win a Grammy? Of course..... but not like this.

Think about the song that got nominated, Dynamite, versus their previous releases and you tell me what song REALLY deserved a Grammy, let alone a Grammy nomination.

The way I saw this nomination was as a gimme AKA "here's a bone, now shut you and your little fanbase up and be happy we let you into our party and oh, by the way, thanks for coming down to our level by oversimplifying your style and releasing a song in English like the rest of the big boys and girls".

If anything, this is only going to further motivate, and quite possibly, piss off, BTS if they are the artists, and even a tad petty, which is a GOOD THING in the music business, that I believe them to be.

The way I see it, this Grammy "loss" just opened Pandora's box and if you think BTS, and K Pop, has peaked, then you haven't seen nothing yet.

Ehhh, it's kinda crucial in the long run. Yes, the music business is THAT cold to judge you off what songs have brought you what awards.

The fans are only one side of the spectrum. Then again, at this point, BTS could release whatever the hell they want and it'll probably be gold.

Uh, you had me until the last part. I do agree that the Grammy would have been a nice cap off the year they had but that's not what Grammys are about.
