The reason behind aespa’s third delay+ change from full album to mini

    Now that everything is sorted out. I kinda get what happened.


    First the album got delayed because of LSM and his antics as SM said before.


    Second time it got delayed was because SM didn’t want the planting trees idea/song LSM was going for for the title track and they changed it.


    Then the whole Hybe vs Kakao happened and SM 3.0 was planning to stick to the second date regardless. But then a petty idea came up after LSM’s “betrayal”.


    They wanted to show music that had nothing to do with LSM where he and his producing company don’t get royalties. and aespa was the artist to use for that.


    Not just for the title track but the entire album. However, that’s impossible because it’s a full album that has already been recorded and was set to release.



    So SM delays the album for the third time to prepare a completely new one. The previous album’s songs couldn’t be wasted completely but they also don’t want to give royalties to the enemy so they unofficially release all the album at the concert. While songs not involved with LSM are registered: “Don’t Blink” and “2Hot4You”.


    Unfortunately I think they won’t release studio versions of Thirsty and Salty and Sweet. We got a full unofficial version of S&S at the concert but the studio version of the dance practice was short probably for royalties.

    Im wondering if they could really drive the knife even further into LSM's ribs by releasing all of his songs for free somehow, so as not to give LSM any royalties. They could market it as a gift to fans for remaining faithful to Aespa over the past year - the fans get to hear the ones they love in studio quality and LSM gets nothing in return lol.

    And release them all at the upcoming SMTown. Unreleased recorded songs of all SM groups lol.

    Well he released the full album for sure but unofficially. and now they’re releasing the mini which I remember them saying next aespa CB will be a testament and a challenge of SM music without LSM.

    Yes that's true aespa will be the first 'test' without LSM but I remember he specifically saying that aespa will release full album first and later a mini ( let me search the video first and later when I found it I'll put in here). That's why about last night Kmys complaining

    We’ll see how it turns out! It’ll be interesting to see of they “bullseye” a (A and/or B side) real vibe.


    So far, it’s just “Beat Drop” and “Thirsty”..and there is still unmet potential to impress.

    yeah he said in the video during the HYBe vs kakao mess

    where he was talking about what was schedules for each groups before the whole mess happen

    and next to aespa it was listed a full album in april and later in the year they were suppose to release a mini album

    Considering LSS is back as a director, now head of the international A&R branch (despite barely doing anything for SM when he originally had the job) and he promised he would become a normal employee under SM 3.0 and the only major thing they've done is doubled the high executive positions for seemingly no reason, I'd go for the lying in broad daylight. I'll believe there is some change in SM apart from who gets the cheques when I see Aespa actually being promoted instead of 2 stages and a wave goodbye until award season where they are performing in the same outfits without a remix in sight.

    I think everything he told in SM 3.0, 80% are lying to saved/benefit himself. He also said that SM 3.0 will be rewards system based on the results but aespa still getting short end of stick despite being the top 2 of current biggest moneymaker in SM. Also on how they were gonna start giving equal content to everyone. I don't think this will change anytime soon since SM currently being managed by the same management minus only LSM . They will still giving the best treatment to whomever they actually favors

    Agreed, the overall plans seemed pretty vague and the majority of the time they kept trying to divert attention by outlining issues with the Hybe plan rather than their own solutions. They won the PR war for fans but doesn't look like it helped them with the way their stocks are going down and they can no longer blame everything on LSM.

    they are clueless and I knew this will happen since I'm following all the dramas
