Yall don't realize the extend to which Twice tanked this comeback

It's not only kpop that has suffered. Many YouTube content creators are voicing out complaints that their new streaming filtration is making their livelihood harder and harder to live by if they don't do ads. Across the board, EVERYONE has suffered if you don't cave into their ads program. The only people thriving even with their new streaming regulations are those who use ads.

Wait, is that a new thing? Was it changed just before SMF comeback? Otherwise it still won't explain 150k average daily after 2 weeks.

It's been a thing since Jan of 2022. I follow a lot of gamer channels (Sims, Skyrim etc) and beauty channels and they have been non-stop complaining about YouTube's new policies and streaming strangulation in the form of ads since 2022. Kpop seeing the same thing happening isn't surprising. You now HAVE to use ads if you want to see any minimal changes to views.
The reason why ads are such a problem for creators is because before anyone could watch a video and based on the streams the video got, YT would pay you a lump sum for each threshold you got. But over the years they were losing more money doing that and started adding in ads.
Ads get spilt three way. To the companies the ads are showcasing, to YT and to the content creator. If one opts for the ads, they'll get paid more ad views but less money for the content creator. That's why they're complaining.

Well, then it can't be used as an excuse. it is very low even considering that.

Personally, I also don't see myself repeating Set Me Free. I kinda dropped it like 3 days after release, similar case to Scientist.
Most TWICE songs released have been on repeat for me like 1 month and even more after release. Scientist and Set Me Free, I dropped after about 1 week, I have to admit.
I mean... I can see why Set Me Free isn't doing well, but I also don't like when haters shit on TWICE talents for a "flop release".
I kinda miss another The Feels, Alcohol-Free, Fancy,... which gives me the URGE to rewatch the music video CONTINUOUSLY without getting bored. Unfortunately, Set Me Free didn't do it for me.
I wished Got The Thrills was the title track though.

spoilers alert: op absolutely trashed on ttt but like smf so you might be preaching to the choir there to him lol

I thought we were over the YouTube view era cuz of the ads? Just stick with the Spotify numbers to determine true floppage

Well, if the decrease in views is across the board then, maybe people should be looking at how well the song did in comparison to other songs released recently instead of against older twice songs. Or how it did on other platforms

I mean, I knew how bad Twice flopped this comeback lol. Even Japan didn't stream it, but yeah, I didn't really care.
Twice flopping digitally isn't going to stop them from having a comeback. As long as they are selling out tour dates and selling albums, they are set for life. I'm sure Twice feels some disappointment seeing the digital numbers, but there is nothing much we can really do as fans. We can't force people to stream, and JYPE has their way of doing things.
Twice chose the comeback songs, and unfortunately, people didn't like it as much. People didn't like TTT or Scientist that much either even though TTT did better.
Twice's floppage has been discussed a million different ways by fans, non-fans, and antis. At some point, you got to let it go and move on to the next comeback, lmao. It is what it is.
Anticipating the Japanese comeback and MISAMO's debut!

that's really surprising
