Do you need current music to keep being interested in a group?

Red Velvet had a long hiatus and Mamamoo, Apink are releasing music at a slower pace now but I am still there.

not neccesarily current music but at least some content

If the group has catalog songs, absolutely not. Def. had moments where groups had newer “non-catalog” quality songs. The staple higher quality stuff kept me around for when they could come back with new stuff on the same level.

Nope. If that was the case, I would have canceled Exo, RV, and GG a long time ago.

They release timeless albums that always have me hooked on their discography.

In most cases, success stans cancel as soon as something changes so I guess it depends on why your favs are your favs.

I could get away with the wait blackpink gives between comebacks, but I don’t think I could go for any longer than that

I guess so especially with groups these days but then when they do have a comeback, I'm usually disappointed and will sometimes go back to their earlier music.

I think it's worse when you don't vibe with their current output than when they don't release anything
