For me, it was "Hi, Mom", which I watched a month ago.
It made me actually cry and also made me want to give my own mother a hug.

Story: A boy called Ethan gets to adopt a stray puppy and both become best friend despite that the puppy sometimes tends to be a bit wild and chaotic. Ethan decides to name the puppy Baily. When Ethan gets older he gets a girlfriend called Hannah and they hang out together. Hannah likes Ethan and Baily a lot so she makes plans to go to the same college as Ethan when he gets scouted trought his American Football team in school. At that time Ethan's realationship to his dad also starts to get worse since his dad starts to become an alcoholic and Ethan decided to kick him out of his family's home to protect his mom. To make everything worse, shortly after his dad left a student from Ethan's school who did a bad prank on him set his house on fire that causes Ethan to break his foot so he could never play American football again that leads Hannah to break up with Ethan.
A while later Baily became pretty sick as an old dog and had to be put to sleep forever.
Later on Baily reincained into multuple other dogs afterwards. He became a police dog that ment a lot to his new owner. But on a mission to save a girl's life he sadly passes away. Than he became the dog of a university student who spend a lot great years with him till she met her husband who also had a dog and he fell in love with this dog.
In his last life Baily became a dog that was adopted from a woman who only chose him cause he was a cute puppy, however as soon he grew big she didn't cared anymore and so her husband decided to take him away and abonded him on the streets. Later while walking around as stray dog Baily noticed he found Hannah again. After some time of walking around Baily came to the place where Ethan's grandparents used to live and Baily remembered the place from his first life and so came closer to the house.
Ethan who was now an old man and living in this house was not a fan of seeing a stray dog in front of his house but when he found similarities with Baily he realised it was him and so he adopted him. A while later Baily had the idea to get Ethan and Hannah back together after more than 30 years of not having seen eachother and the plan had worked. When Hannah saw the dog she tried to bring him back to his owner and when Ethan saw her he was quit surprised but happy meeting her again. At the end they became a couple again.
Not a movie, but the show Tomorrow episode six. Omg I cried like a baby. 8CD5A235-BDB0-4B92-A993-A675A095F1A3.jpeg
I've been doing the classic middle-aged thing: feeding my nostalgia itch and rewatching my childhood/20 something fave shows and movies.
Right now, it's Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spinoff, Angel The Series. My favorite television shows of alltime and they still hold up to this day.
So forgive me, OP, i know it's not a movie but i cant help but mention this... I got to the 1st season of Angel and the episode when Buffy shows up and then this scene happens...OMG my eyes were tearing up like crazy, Sarah Michelle Gellar is the best actress i've ever seen. Like EVER.
SPOILER WARNING for those that havent watched it yet but still plan to:
I try to avoid sad movies.
i never really watch movies but i cried to call me by your name.
