I Think It's Time For BEP to Stop Producing STAYC's Music

Because WTF was that?

How did you go from "So Bad", "Stereotype", and "Run2U" to that?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the song is ass or anything lol, and I love me a good cute concept. It was very cute, the girls were very cute, and I could even see myself liking the song...if this was 2012.

This sounds like something Katy Perry would have released 10 years ago (with some more risque lyrics definitely lol but still the vibe was very much giving 2012 Katy Perry).

Remember how I said I wanted BEP to produce for Twice again? Forget I ever said that shit.

And looks like they need to find someone else to produce for StayC too because everything I loved about StayC they pretty much drained it out of them to give us "Teddy Bear".

Looks like I'm gonna be watching Isa fancams on mute.

Good for them if K-netz like it.

It's not for me. Sounds more dated than even "So Bad" (which is supposed to be dated since it's retro lmfao).

I don't see this song being a hit, but I could be wrong.

Honestly, I wonder if they chose this direction because "Poppy" went viral, or if they were always planning to have STAYC go CUTE cute.

Like the cutest they've gone prior was Stereotype, and everything else has kind of been more "cool" except Beautiful Monster.

Like, this is a different STAYC I was not expecting.

so maybe they've calculated things and it doesn't make sense to have more people working on that music for girls

of course we need to consider that this is just single album

but that's another 'flaw' of kpop world

why produce 7-8 or more songs when you can sell just 2 or 3 and get same amount of sales...

Hmm, we'll see how their next few songs go. Like if their next few releases continue a downward digital trend, then it doesn't matter what they think. Lol, at that point, it's time to go a different direction musically. Unless they are like JYPE and only really care about fandom size/physical sales.

Then, it doesn't matter because I think STAYC will keep growing there anyway.

I have to say, I do like 3/7 of STAYC's title tracks, so I'm not saying BEP isn't good, but they aren't as consistent as let's say, Teddy. So, if they aren't producing consistent results digitally (if that's their aim), then it makes sense to me for them to let someone else have a shot a producing for STAYC.

This is just speculation as of now though since "Teddy Bear" just came out, and it's could still do really well and negate everything I just said.

But not at all BP. BP has never not had a hit. I'm not talking about opinion here. I'm referring to numbers.

While BP has had bigger hits than others, they have never flopped. I'm not talking about liking or not liking a song in this aspect but how well it does digitally.

I'm all for GGs experimenting, but this switch up was a little jarring. If this had come right after Stereotype, it wouldn't be so weird, but it came after Run2U and Beautiful Monster so it's kinda like..."Why?"
