They have many songs that are easy to listen for western people, they do not look typically kpop either. Their visual identity is as standard as you can. Ultimately their music is pretty good and is not heavily focused on MVs, performance, concepts or visuals which make them a perfect addition to any random personal playlist

i think the most surprising thing is that melodic, groovy RnB singles could be called a gap in the market

NewJeans' team called it and their gamble paid off
