I doubt, generally Americans like simple songs.

BTS barely has that kpop song structure anymore. Just the most basic songs ever made, pretty boring, but It's working for them.

JYP is going the same path with twice and itzy english songs.

Like it or not, the US is a great place for experimental music. The audience is large enough and cashed up enough, that it sort of is the default place for underground scenes to pop up, esp. pre-internet

You just gotta be okay with it not being Billboard Hot 100 level of popular. But if you find your niche, US (like Japan) has the cash to sustain your career
