Possible lineup for SM’s version of NewJeans, which ultimately failed to get the go ahead?

As we all know Min Heejin left SM around 2018/2019 due to creative differences and by now it’s become clear her dream vision for a gg is sth like NewJeans. And we also know SM let go of a handful of very well known trainees around that time and debuted Aespa instead, which led me to wonder if this could possibly have been a potential lineup for the gg MHJ had in mind while still in SM?

In case you couldn’t tell yes that’s Ningning in the middle of the bottom line. Of course this isn’t a set in stone lineup, just a number of trainees that were still with SM and then left them before Aespa’s debut. Any thoughts? Are you sad this group didn’t happen under SM or glad things went differently?

yiyang already came back to sm? I only heard that lami did but didn’t know yiyang did as well. Sm must be like how could we have let go such valuable trainees

also well, idk if NJ fits with SM concept or music wise, but tbh I imagine aespa is far more expensive concept wise (the futuristic aesthetics and ae-image etc) whereas NJ probably is extremely profitable for a less expensive concept.

tbf that was a picture of ningning when she was much younger - you could literally see how young she was in the gif lol
