What’s the reason Loona still flop despite having the most predebut hype for any group?

They dont have a top company.

And despite they dont have a hit like momoland, gfriend, aoa or omg. They gained a stronger fandom than any of them. So i would say they did quiet well.

Their debut in Hi High was so underwhelming compared to their pre-debut stuff.

They should have stuck with the Odd Eye Circle sound with a splash of YYXY in there.

Gonna sound like a hater here, but Haseul, Yeojin and Vivi give off a totally different vibe to the OEC/YYXY members as well. I almost prefer the sub units to the whole group.

I was quite interested in them predebut and til this day, still play many of their predebut songs. But Hi High really deflated my interest in them..I think I only truly love Butterfly as a tt after they debut..

Music was meh and maybe too many members at least that was my gripe with them

They have amazing B-sides though. Satellite, Universe, Colors, Star to name some.

I think there was a pretty long gap between Butterfly and their next tracks too iirc.

I didnt mind Butterfly, Why Not, So What and PTT. Flip that was not great though.

Same. 9 is pushing it for me. 12 is to much

Sorry if I'm too blunt but:

- Too many members with half of them being fillers

- Not good enough music and the quality of their songs isn't consistent

- They switch up between concepts a lot so I can't really feel any music identity, feels like they just follow what's hot at the time so there's nothing special about them

- Not from a big company

- Unmemorable debut
