Will BTS Military Enlistment Period Be Like Everyone Else's?

    Literally BigHit is known for feeding the fans.


    Half of the members been so active and doing their own thing.


    We was able to chart Love Yourself: HER at #13 on the Billboard 200 chart...mind you a 5 year album did that.


    Hopefully the next Vinyl BigHit release, is the WINGS album, and I know for a fact ARMY can get it to possibly in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200.


    Looks like BigHit will release Vinyl version of BTS albums, every couple months to keep ARMY busy, and give them something to chart, while they waiting on individual members albums and since we won't get any group music till 2025.


    Also a Jhope documentary, BTS group deal with Disney, Yet To Come BUSAN movie in theaters soon....plus more.


    Like BigHit definitely doing what needs to be done to make sure majority of ARMY don't go anywhere.


    Plus the fan base is still growing overall, and the BTS image is still up in tact.


    Oh, and Jin coming back next year, which I know time about to go by fast.

    BTS in the military will be like no one else. Look at Jin. There were a billion stories from all corners of the world on his graduation and his appointment at a teaching assistant at the camp to help new recruits. So much video of the ceremony and the respect he received from his fellow soldiers and officers.


    BTS are exemplary men. I assume this trend will continue as each member enters the military. Jin continues to trend on social media every day. There is even a fantastic countdown twitter account.


    We will be see you next year Jin. God bless you and all your fellow soldiers

    Heck even now, its about to be February in 1 more week.


    And again BigHit keeping ARMY busy by releasing those Vinyls..giving them something to stream and work on charting.


    And like you said, the members even while being in the military will constantly be talked about, so the BTS name will definitely stay alive till 2025

    BTS will change the way things are in the military. There will be so many stories, click baits, photo leaks and "official messages" from the military regarding the members. All for engagements and clout.


    Fans, media and even ordinary people will be interested for whatever news that comes out regarding BTS. I'm not sure if this will be the same for other male kpop idols entering the military as they don't have the same magnitude of global reach.


    In the meantime, much as Hybe wants to reduce its dependence on BTS, they want to keep the ARMY happy while the men are in the military. Hybe knows, without a shadow of any doubt, that when BTS reunite on stage, they will benefit from the astronomical amount of cash BTS will bring in to the company. You better believe it!

    I love that Jin has filmed little videos for us that will be released periodically so that we can see him. Also really love that the army have him permission to post on weverse to say hi to everyone. It doesn't feel like he's gone at all.

    Right, it just feels like a regular break

    It really is unlike any other, whether you accept it or not! You see how Jin is training and how stories around the world of him being a teaching assistant were everywhere plus BTS as solo are trending & how solo activities are expected. BIGHIT knows the power & size & money we ARMYs bring and they can't afford to loose us or leave us little to no content. Plus, you have to face the fact that they're not your verage k-pop bg or average bg at that: THEY'RE BTS!!!!!!!! So no their enlistment period will not be like everyone else's and I can't wait to see what they do next!!!!!!!

    Such exemplariness cost them their empire as the younger pop of the world moved on to Harry Styles and other acts


    They should have incorporated elsewhere, give a huge middle finger to K-O-R-E-A, and operate against the world but their patriotism has cost them their empire as Hybe increasingly falls into the clutches of Min Heejin.

    It was definitely never going to be like anyone else's - how many outside of kpop stans (and Koreans, duh lol) even knew South Korea had mandatory military enlistment. I can't tell you the number of people who knew I stanned BTS, saw the news on CNN or one of the many western new outlets then read about this and told me like I didn't already know.


    The entire week after I got so many, "DID YOU KNOW...?"

    :!: NO, I had ABSOLUTELY no clue a member of my favorite group went missing and turned up in the military!!!!! *cue surprised pikachu face*

    In the end it won’t be about the enlistment exactly but you can’t keep teenagers interested in 30 year old men to the same extent and kpop for better or worse does have a lot of teenage fans. That’s why taking a two year break is different from the two year you spend in enlistment…you well… age.
