One Fact About SM that people don't know.

Regardless of who wishes and says what or not;

No SM artist is a failure.

But people keep calling Aespa and Red Velvet failures that have been surpassed.

Yet Red Velvet and Aespa are among the only 5 or so ggs this year to sell a million albums and Aespa ranks #2.

As for NCT, they've been hated on since 7 years ago and they keep growing. They sell millions of albums and now, they are busy selling out concerts in stadiums.

So all those who keep hating don't change a thing.

Imagine coming for BoA and Got The Beat!

If you are unlucky, most if not all of your favs will never be idols for over 20 years like BoA and it'll be a miracle if they reach 15 years like Taeyeon and sell a million in their 8th year like Red Velvet and if they're senior idols than Aespa, it means that they never sold almost a million with their debut album or a combination of 2 million with their second album only a year after debut.

There, those girls are winners, if you can not beat them, join them and become their biggest supporter.

Isn't doing what they are doing with the group the purpose of its creation in the first place.

1. It's no normal group so it's music has to show that.

2. SM is hella experimental so I don't understand when people expect anything different from that especially from such a "weird" group.

I think those idols are not directly managed by SM. SM owns or has shares in their companies but the companies are managed independently.

Besides if selling millions of albums, selling out concerts and promoting their idols in different ways isn't "doing well" then SM will never be better.

I think in sales, Aespa is only behind Black Pink and RV is like number 4/5.

Both Red Velvet and Aespa have achieved things that Snsd never did.

And it's a different time, and each group has a different concept. Snsd's was easily likable compared to RV who have 3 concepts in one, Red (like Red Flavour), Velvet(like Automatic and Be Natural) and Red Velvet (like Bad Boy, Peekaboo, Psycho).

Aespa with its metaverse and lore concept which attracts mostly only those interested in such and that's not the GP.

Those concepts are not for everyone while Snsd's is a normal pop concept easily acceptable by the GP.

It's not fair to compare them to Snsd and to act like they are failures because they are not on Top.

If they were still Nugu and doing nothing, selling like only 50k then maybe it'd be right to call them failures.

I agree but people sound like SM idols are doing the worst right now. Like they are the last among all idols in the Kpop industry yet they are among the best. That's just funny I think.
