  • h-ttps://www.gallup.co.kr/gallupdb/reportContent.asp?seqNo=1349

    (In Korean)

Cutting all bs, here is the stats for 10s-30s

    BTS - 29,4% Iu - 26.6%

    Men

    13-18 - 31% 28%

    19-29 - 24% 31%

    30-39 - 18% 28%

    Women

    13-18 - 46% 21%

    19-29 - 35% 28%

    30-39 - 26% 21%

Without overwhelming support from teenage girls, BTS would have lost to IU in 2022, despite of the inconvenient fact that IU did NOT release any song this year.

If she just released one single before her concert, she would have beaten BTS.

2023 will be interesting. IVE, NewJeans and aespa will divide the teen votes, while Lee Jieun, who is likely to release a single earlier next year even if she gets to act in the rumored drama, will solidly maintain the 30s votes, so it is likely that , after all these years of KPop, the forces of reactionarism will triumph again in K-O-R-E-A in the year 2023.

  • Your "would have, should have, could have" won't change the fact that BTS won this poll amongst 4 out of 6 demographics stupid....

And BTS released less singles or songs than IU in 2019 & 2021 but still won....

I know your ass was waiting for this poll to push your stupid narratives because you thought BTS won't win this year but time and again your foolish narratives always fall hard..... I know you won't stop this because this is what keeps your fave relevant on this forum so there's no point talking sense with you.....

You kpop stans will cry again when BTS will win this poll next year too.... ¬‿¬

  • Bratty kids need to keep their votes to themselves! IU was robbed! :pepe-pitchfork:

  • Are my eyes reading wrong but its not just teenage girls who voted for BTS over IU?

The bolded ones are where BTS leads

    13-18 - 31% 28%

Ofc we can keep claiming BTS only has support of teenage girls but that clearly ain't the case. Teenage boys also prefer BTS.

Also IU not releasing a song is not as bad as the tumultuous times BTS found themselves in this year and the fandom for the most part being confused and distraught. Things have only gotten stable in the fandom since late Oct when enlistment was announced and BTS gave a clear timeline for their return.

  • She could have delivered the coup de grace to it but chose not to.

  • Next year will be 4Gen vs 3Gen. That will be another story

  • No. BTS would have won this poll by larger margin if they had been granted exemption. Because there's a reason why they have been the only artist ever to be #1 on this poll for 5 consecutive years.....

It would probably have become a man vs woman battle. A lot of votes to IU were protest votes against bts

No normal person gives a shit, they will say what first comes to mind when they are asked the question "who was the most noteworthy artist this year"? No sane person will think "hm, i better say Y now so X doesnt win this poll i never heard of"

  • Jokes aside, it is likely that IU will top the gallup poll next year since BTS are on a hiatus(as a group) and she’ll probably release music next year.

    Very likely.

The important thing is that the newer acts will take some time to be accepted among the people in the 30s , and with BTS inactive, some of the women will look for newer boy acts.

While Lee Jieun will firmly maintain her existing grip and expand a little among younger fans.

So she is likely to beat any newer acts in the overall polls.
