it’s not about being anonymous as a real person. It’s about not getting sana dragged in your case the moment you say sth remotely unagreeable with some other peeps from other fandoms even if you’re being perfectly neutral about it bc people’s only defense on the internet is attacking things other people love lol and they’re incapable of holding actual meaningful discussion without dragging other idols into it when they fail to come up with an actual rebuttal. It’s stupid but it’s a real phenom that exists. That’s why people use anon

That hassle would’ve been entirely amiss with anon and an actual discussion would’ve been held bc it’s not visible who the other person is and there’s nothing to hold them against to go on an off topic personal attack tangent 
Obviously there’s also a lot of trolling that naturally comes with the anon territory, but everything has 2 sides. It’s silly to pretend it’s impossible to understand why people use anon for non-trolling purposes lol -

exactly. it’s got to the point where some people are uncomfortable with saying harmless things like they don’t like a song bc they don’t want their faves to get attacked lol it’s ridiculous honestly. I’m on a forum bc idgas about keeping a rep and just want to see what other kpop stans think, and now people don’t event want to do that anymore 😭
