NewJeans being paid 2 months after their debut shouldn’t be so controversial

Don't they usually have to pay back for the training that they received. Are they living at a dorm?

I know Bighit dont have training fees. Not sure if Hybe follows that and impose on all other labels. Maybe if they do have training fees, it’s minimal. And based on newjeans huge success, I’m sure they able to pay back very quickly.

People should be celebrating. I'm glad these girls got paid, they had a very successful year and it would be a shame if they weren't paid. If anything 2 months is too much time, it should be at the very least every month.

2 months? I don't think that earnings came from their albums sales then.
I think it came from CF or brand deals because the artist usually getting paid upfront for this one rather than waiting for the company done with their financial reports.

But I doubt Ador would have vastly different system. Not saying that it's impossible, but it's very unlikely unless NewJeans getting paid by flat rate (like royalties) or by wages, because you need to count the profit first before you can share it.

No. According to an ex-idol, before they were paid quarterly, but nowadays most companies pay their artists at the end of the month (as long as you're making money).
