How does OP make sense when its said they were targeting Le Sserafim and New Jeans and both have charted?
The point was that the negative articles they continually published drummed up more public hate for the rival groups while they pushed their own groups more, notably IVE. The fact that they weren't transparent about it - they presented a front of being unbiased, while trying to manipulate public opinion - rightly rubs people the wrong way because its deceptive.Sure, you can ask if without Kakao's article push (more positive articles written about IVE than the rival groups put together), would IVE be as big, but I don't see that as the problem - they should push their group. The problem here is the alleged underhanded tactics they also used to try to hamstring the other groups. Was that even really necessary? Honestly, I think it speaks to their own insecurity that they would feel they need to cheat in something that shouldn't even be a competition and also a lack of faith in IVE.
