    Just saw an article praising Taylor swift sales and I wanted to swing a plushie on some random passerby (say no to violence kids)


    Not to mention K-pop fanbases these days are shading each other for the amount of album vers groups are putting out nowadays... let's ignore the fact that this is nothing new to kpop.


    I been knew BTS are held to a different standard but it is still so frustrating, help?

    It's simple. They passed GO and Billboard did not collect their $200 (on top of all the other shit you need to pay). BTS doesn't have Billboard's blessing to succeed. Taylor does.

    This is why I'm all for BTS releasing 7 versions, 7 versions vinyl edition, 7 versions cassette edition. Making it a grand total of 21 versions. Billboard already has the drafts to new rules pre-saved.

    Mass buying has been a fact with Kpop since the first generation where China has been the biggest contributors to it.


    China Bars do fund raising for the sole reason of bulk buying to support their bias.


    Every single Kpop Group that has over a million album sales for a single album has a big China Bar contributing to a massive amount of the purchases.


    Anyway, I have never thought anything wrong with multiple versions of an Album

    all kpop does it, all fandoms bitch about it


    the backlash was mostly due to the organized sales(outside of the normal bitching), 2-3 twitter accounts collecting thousands then gifting it to 2-3000 people to mass buy to inflate sales

    I don't care for the %76890# versions... but the hypocrisy was nauseating, I remembered how Bangtan was villified from the 4 versions of MOTS7 then now only releasing 2 versions at max... and now the 20+ versions was called (because the artist is white) "moving goal posts" :facepalm:, they really have no shame but was not anymore suprised! :suure:

    To say I am sick of both the western and Kpop industry and its treatment of BTS, is an understatement.

    This is because they are only goalposts when Billboard has a stake in them. What BTS erected may look the same to the rest of us, but BB sees prison bars that lock them out of their "fair share". The salty salty tears they've cried over this...
