Produce privilege shouldn't even be call as a privilege.

So are you saying Wonyoung is bigger than SM? Let’s be for real. Produce privilege do exist but only apply to debut and maybe first comeback. Look at the charting of all IZ*ONE soloists for example and of course, every previous produce group/soloists.

IVE probably has the least amount of privilege from produce at the start, for now. It will be Chaeyeon soon considering how produce hype died down. Having 2 popular members and chart worst in Bugs when IZ*ONE fans are known to be good in streaming. Everything after is just luck and good songs.

Idols selected to PD groups aren't always the best or hardworking. Much of the GP who vote are only interested in personality and looks. Those selected idols have the privilege of having many of the people who voted for them feel like they had a hand in their success and they follow them through their careers.

That's true. It depends on who you're comparing it to. Produce groups will not be comparable to these groups at all. At the same time big3/4 groups will have a much bigger support and/or privilege than produce groups. They have much bigger company Stans willing to stan even when they don't like the music. This goes for produce groups too to a lower extent. This can't be compared to groups like lapillus or even BTS which many dives seem hell bent on doing.

Not coming from Big 4 companies doesn't mean your favs can have that 'underdog' narrative.

Especially you have other privileges going on. In the case of IVE, they have many advantages such as: Wonyoung being the trendy it girl, the first group post Izone to debut, Starship's (which is backed by Kakao - the company that are about to buy a Big 3 company) high investment.
