Dispatch has revealed more details about husband B (30s) who attempted to murder his wife.

At midnight on the 14th, an actress A (40s) called police to report her husband B's domestic violence. Police arrived to the scene but did not discover any physical violence. They issued a restraining order for B and A changed her door password.

An hour later, A called police again and reported B attempted to break into her house through veranda. In addition, B had threatened suicide after calling A saying, "he was going to make an extreme choice."

Police finally went looking for B and at around 2:00am, found B on the floor bleeding from his leg after he had attempted self-harm. They escorted him to the hospital and B later returned to his hometown after concluding treatments at 6:00am.

However, B's stalking did not end there. He headed to A's Itaewon house at around 8:45am with a knife and aimed for an opening when the kids would be going to school.

Later, police received reports and rushed to the scene where they arrested B who had stabbed his wife A in the neck. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but fortunately her injuries were not life threatening.

After investigating B, Seoul Yong-san police issued an arrest warrant for attempted murder at 9pm that day. The two had separated. B committed the crime after purchasing the knife the morning of the crime.

To attend summons, B rented a private ambulance and appeared at the Seoul Western District Court in a wheel chair. He arrived at 10:30am on the 16th for interrogations that lasted for about an hour. Results are due in the afternoon.

    1. [+1,813, -24] So even if a crime was expected, police couldn't arrest him but just waited until it happened?
    2. [+843, -53] No matter how hard you try to shield them, they're police officers. Strip them of all of their investigative powers and give them to errand centers.
    3. [+ 740, -16] Police are seriously trash ~~ So they went there 3 times after she reported his threats but because there was no physical harm they just went back? So they waited until he attempted murder to arrest him?
    4. [+491, -39] We're better off strengthening public power first than just leaving the rights of investigative powers to police. What does it matter if it's police or prosecution? The incompetent leftists are afraid of prosecutors so they gave police all the investigative authority they shouldn't have in the first place.
    5. [+399, -10] So because there was no direct damage they took zero action? No one is asking to punish him, but if the victim feels threatened, isn't it clear the husband was a potential perpetrator? Shouldn't he have been under police custody? Restrained? Or more precautions taken that day?
    6. [+155, -1] Wow... so he aimed for that time in the morning when his daughter was going to school after causing a commotion 3 times and wielded a knife in front of his kids? Aigoo, he better not make lame excuses like he was "drunk" and made a "mistake." Make sure to hit him with harsh punishments for intentional murder!
    7. [+154, -5] "Just report it police.." "why are you reporting it to us?" Feels like this? So five or six staff one after another let it get to this ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ. Isn't this grounds for a lawsuit?
    8. [+129, -1] In front of the kids.. in the morning, on the way to school.. omg
    9. [+79, -0] If your not going to put out his real name, don't even write the article. Why should we be subjected to dog fights between a couple living sh** lives.
    10. [+40, -1] But he tried to break-in into her home, how is that no direct damage? Seriously, why aren't we changing our laws?
    11. [+36, -1] If he gets a short sentence, he's definitely going to come out and kill her eventually. Please, do something about it!
    12. [+30, -4] If you've ever dealt with our police, you know right away there's nothing they can do. Don't trust police!

  • This is why in the US, the 2nd amendment exist. You can’t always trust and depend on the police or the govt.

    This is just sad lol

  • This is not the mic drop you think it is. People should be able to depend on police, not allow firearms to anyone walking into a Walmart. There are kids dying here every other week

it’s not a mic drop moment. It’s a fact. A reason why the recent Texas shooting was so devastating was because the police (who were suppose to interfere and save the kids) didn’t do anything. A civilian had to go in the school and shoot the perp instead

  • The entire thing happened because a psycho had access to a gun. There have been many other shootings for the same reason

and psycho’s exists all over the world. Better have the chance to protect yourself than be vulnerable. Look at the Uyghurs being subjected to genocide because the Chinese govt think they’re less than Chinese people. Look at the whole entire world govt not doing anything about it. Im sure they would’ve wanted to fight back or protect themselves if they had the chance.

theres a reason stuff like this happens primarily in america though... :pepe-narrow-eyes:

  • Militias don't have a chance against armies that have millions invested into building them up. You are so careless with your words, children are dying for no reason. Civilians shouldn't have guns. Stop it with this narrative that the government will kill us all if the backcountry hillbillies didn't have access to arms

better than doing nothing. Civilians should have the choice to arm. I’m not saying everyone should have them. I will say that a better system should exist in selecting the right persons to own them.

How many mass killings were prevented thanks to an armed civilian?

How many mass killings did happen because of an armed civilian?

Let's count and compare the numbers, shall we?

I'm not against the right of owning a registered handgun at home. Assault rifles on sale at Walmart though? This shit is just insane.

    Anyway, that's not the thread.

We don’t have access to guns.

We also don’t have kids being killed by weird ass teenagers with assault riffles.

???? what are you talking about

to have a chance to protect yourself all the time means to wear a gun all the time. And the reason why people have this mindset is because you always expect something bad to happen because somewhere might be a guy who freely bought a gun. Doesn't that mean the premise is wrong?

Yes, there are psychopaths everywhere, but at least you don't have to be afraid to send your child to school because some nutcase will start shooting randomly, some senile old man will shoot you if you step on his turf in the evening, or because he's simply a racist. Why rejoice that a civilian killed a murderer when he has already killed dozens of innocent children?

Yes, it's good that people can protect themselves, but allowing the population free movement of guns is crazy. Here to get a gun you need countless approvals, psychological assessments, but at least we never had mass-shooting. This is why US became a mess and not a dream anymore.
