Alright i previously stated that I exclusively listen to (almost) rap and spanish music more specifically reggaeton and like pop. Spanish Pop though usually has a little more oomph to it. My musical reference points are Kali Uchis, Paloma Mami, Princess Alba, (early) Rosalia, Bad Bunny for spanish music and Kendrick, Kanye, Nicki, Drake, Future etc. now im not saying that any of the previously stated artists would drop this Typa Song but i dont think they COULD.

In my opinion a song like this needs to grab your attention immediately. This kind of theme has been done by EVERY rapper, and it should, because its just a song about who you are. You’re introducing yourself to your audience and your peers, ya know?

Alright i bring money to the table and i also bring dinner because my mans cooking is garbage, but i love him and he brings other things to the table lmaaaoooo, but true!!!!! This is a statement. Like it tells me that Black Pink is the typa girl that runs the room, they command attention. Beyond that Jennie’s rap is pretty mid but lowkey she kept me with the “both my body and my bank account, good figgya”
CHORUS
The prechorus isnt my favorite lyrically but it does sound aesthetically pleasing. It just doesnt super make sense with the overall theme of the song, and im not obsessed with the supernatural/crystal ball turn that this takes because it throws me off from the rest of the song, but it sounds nice.

“TYPE THAT MAKE YOU LOVE ME WHEN THE ONLY THING YOU DONE IS LIKE!” Great final line to go out on when they repeat the chorus but jisoo says it so powerfully ugh she brings this kind of like almost unhinged it girl aspect to her rap and i like it lol like shes snapping

My favorite part from this verse though is Lisa saying “all of these girls on uppercase shit, that means they all cap” no cap??? ALL CAP. All CAPITALIZED. They are CHANTING LALISA.

10/10 i just have to ignore that one part in the chorus but FIRST lets talk about that extra verse AFTER the rap

Overall best song on the album, 10/10 i even like the instrumental all the way through.
