Picky eaters exist everywhere, vegan or not. Not sure why your friend decided to go vegan but if it’s for morale reasons it has zero connection to her liking vegetables or not

Even though you don't like fries and you're a vegetarian

I think it's oddly fitting.

It must be hard to go vegan while not liking veggies
If you get a chance to talk to your friend you should tell her that it's best to take baby steps instead of adapting to a completely different way of eating that she's not used to. E.g: instead of ordering steak or chicken she can eat fish only
People's taste buds can get used to certain foods so she should keep eating as much veggies as possible
Cause otherwise she'll end up malnourished
