JYPE has no vision, they are just trend chasers. Do you agree?

  • Itzy started a teen crush concept unless you honestly think BP songs sound like Dalla Dalla lmao

BP fans self-dragging to make it seem like they paved the way

It wasn't even Itzy who started Teen Crush lol. It was Weki Meki. Poor Weki Meki and their fans even after how much of a fuss they made about it JYP was still successful in rewriting the facts.

  • in the same way that if there had been no big bang, there would be no bap/block b/bts, if there was no bts, there would be no ateez/stray kids.

bts revitalized hiphop-focused boy groups in 3rd gen

Sure they had impact on the industry, but your sweeping claim is bullshit and you know it. By the time skz's debut was settled bts were already pop focused. If jype wanted to follow bts mindlessly wouldn't it have made more sense to make skz debut with a lighter pop song like DNA, bts' most successful comeback at that time? Of course it would have. But what happened was that skz's sound was left up to 3racha, who had been interested in hip hop for a long time, independently from the existence of bts (although ofc they do like them just like they do a ton of senior groups). And their rappers have literally said in their rookie years that their idol inspirations are blockb and bigbang, which goes to show again, in Korea bts are not the only group known for their hip hop influences.

    Kpop is a copycat industry.

BTS has some of Exo and Bigbang. Twice has some SNSD. BP has a lot of 2NE1. SKZ, like most BGs created around that time, has some of BTS. Companies take elements of what is popular and try and replicate that.

BTS didn't get famous because of their pop songs but because of their rap and hiphop which is why JYP followed that model that proved to be successful

  • Yes, JYP has never had vision, all their groups have just been modelled after other successful groups.

Twice was modelled after SNSD, you can't tell me that this is incorrect.

Itzy was modelled after Blackpink, they just don't have the same swagger that BP naturally have.

NMixx is clearly modelled after Aespa, but JYP producers are nowhere near as good as SM producers when it comes to bizarre mix and mash of music.

  • I understand twice and nmixx but itzy? I can't imagine Blackpink singing songs like dalla dalla, icy, not shy, etc... it's too bratty and teen

that’s because of itzy’s limited vocal skills lol… if itzy were better singers maybe they wouldn’t have had to sing bratty and chanty songs all the time. itzy’s concept and branding though, you cannot deny the bp blueprint influence. and i say this as someone who strongly dislikes bp’s image and music

ive and nj also have limited vocal skills but they are not singing like that. even bp have limited vocal skills. i think it's itzy's signature thing. well let's agree to disagree then

while that may be true, ive and nj have much more pleasant vocal tones to listen to though. ryujin and yuna in particular and even yeji sound so bad in itzy songs, not just their skills but their voices too. i want to stan yeji but her voice is just a no, i’m sad ;( imo nj is not a particularly strong vocal group but they all sound nice enough in their songs and no one’s voice grates my ears for being too bratty

  • All companies are trend chasers no matter what you kpoppies think

  • So Aespa copying BP, then Nmixx copying Aespa?!😳😳😳

personally aespa is inspired by BP in term of marketing, is clearly that SM is inspired by BP in term of marketing, high fashion, less content, less promo (all their comebacks had only 4 music shows performances) etc, meanwhile Nmixx is similar to aespa in term of concept and music

aespa and BP aren't anything similar in term of concept and music, they are actually pretty different, same as Nmixx aren't being marketed as aespa or BP

  • Is itzy a copy of BP? I thought there were closer to F(x) as a more young experiment/alt type of group compared to the SNSD/Twice group.

    Twice = SNSD

Nmixx = Aespa those 2 are obvious

I guess jyp is waiting for SM next gg to copy their idea lol
