Was "Visuals" the only reason that stopped sistar from having a fandom?

yeah, i mean they are pretty but they just didn't have standout strong visual like yoona, suzy, jiyeon etc

bora and dasom were considered conventionally attractive but dasom had bully rumors like as soon as the group debuted and people didn't tend to like bora's personality. the group wasn't very personable i guess

But as comparison 2NE1 never had a member with a it-girl image too and they had a huge fandom. Dara was very known for her visuals but I don't think people saw her as a it-girl. Maybe just a lot prettier than the rest of 2NE1.

Well for comparison we have MissA who had Suzy as an it girl yet they failed to have a strong supportive fandom having an it girl in the group made more damage than good a Suzy amassed more individual fans than fans for the group so Sistar lacking visual or it girl wasn't the reason for their lack of a strong fandom also let's not forget that Sistar came for a nuggu company

I don't think Starship was too dedicated about fandoms. For example every other 2nd gen gg I know promoted in Japan minus Sistar as far as I know. I dont think they promoted anywhere else besides SK. I guess Starship only started caring about fandom later on, they probably thought good music was enough.

I think the main issue is that they didn't prioritize in growing a fandom for Sistar. They rarely had fansigns, they don't have concerts

Starship prioritised on their music and GP relevance but totally neglected to grow their fandom. It isn't about not having visuals or lack of IT girl.
