Yeah looks were to Korea liking but I think there was bigger issue: they didn’t have stan attractors.
Hyolyn as a singer was almost as popular and acclaimed as Taeyeon was at one point, which is no easy feat, so you’d assume she would be really popular but that never translated her to getting a lot fans. Dasom and Soyu didn’t really make a name for themselves until much later near the groups disbandment which is obviously too late. Bora was the main known for doing variety but again that didn’t translate into fans for her.
Most groups had at least 1 member that was very popular for whatver reason and that in turn bring more fans either to her or the group. Miss A was pretty much supported by Suzy fans, Girls day Mina was by far the most popular for a while then Hyeri rose up, 2ne1 had CL, 4minute had Hyuna and so on.
