iu also did a cosplay of this character some years ago, where she had a duet song and korea was going nuts over it, they love it without knowing or carrying for the themes and undertones the film carry

Yeah, that scene where she is dressed like that (looks like the scene where she puts makeup on and try several outfits) is one of the creepiest in the movie. Her character is strongly infantuated with the main character who is like 40yo. The only reason the movie is actually good and not disgusting is because the main character never show any sort of attraction towards her. Which is why the movie is seen more as a fraternal love story where 2 broken people care about each other - similar to Last of Us. However it attracted so many pedos because of how Natalie was portrayed, as a matured young girl and weird shots of her tummy. Just read the comment section in the clip of this scene I'm talking about and you will get a glimpse.

That's not comparable though, if you are talking about it the same way I think.

That symbol has 3000 years of history in Buddhist and Hinduism religion and culture versus its less than 100 years meaning in western countries.
